Verena Issel is a practicing artist in the installation genre. Verena lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Hamburg University.

Verena has two Master's degrees, one in Visual Arts (sculpture, installation, and cinema) and the other in Classical Languages. For many years, the artist has been participating in various residency programs around the world: in South Korea, Shanghai, Taiwan, Japan, Lithuania, Germany, and Belgium.

In addition, she has had solo shows in Norway, France, Japan, and Shanghai.
