Victoria Begalskaya is a Ukrainian-born Russian artist. She received her degree from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts.
While Victoria's career as an artist opened with video works, she has been making paintings since 2005. Together with Alexander Vilkin and Diana Portland, Begalskaya co-founded the creative union of sex-workers and artists «Teresa». She is also a co-founder of the FEMINIST KITCHEN art platform, integrating artistic and social projects against social injustice and the subordinate role of the woman in society.
Begalskaya's works can be found in the collections of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), the National Centre of Contemporary Art (NCCA), the MUKHA Museum (Antwerp, Belgium), as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
