The Vyksa Art Residence invites everyone to a welcoming lecture by our new residents Artyom Go and Abram Rebrov. The lecture will take place in the Ex Libris space at ul. Lenin, 7.
At the meeting, the artists will tell about themselves, their creative paths and practices. In addition, the artists will share the idea of a project that they plan to implement during their residency.
Artem and Abram want to study Vyksa and the inhabitants of the city using the sociological method. Forms, leaflets, etc. will help artists to plunge into the life of the city and get to know it from completely different sides. In addition, the artists are planning to conduct a series of surveys in order to understand what ideas about contemporary art are now among the residents of Vyksa.
Artyom Go is an artist and filmmaker from St. Petersburg who works at the intersection of video art and experimental cinema, maintaining an interest in such classic mediums as painting, photography and total installation.
Abram Rebrov is an artist from Moscow who works primarily in the medium of television images.
