Alexander Vilkin is a Russian artist.
Vilkin graduated from the Chelyabinsk Art School and the North-West Institute of Printing Arts in St Petersburg.
The artist has been a member of the Parasite creative association since 2006. In 2009, Vilkin, alongside Igor Mezheritsky and Grigory Yushchenko, co-founded the Protez group, known for its kitschy exploration of sex. In 2014, together with Victoria Begalskaya and Diana Portland, Vilkin co-founded the Teresa Creative Union of sex-workers and artists, which was nominated for the Innovation Prize 2014 (the Aphrodite's Girdle project was nominated in the Best Visual Artwork category).
Vilkin's works can be found in the collection of the M HKA Museum (Antwerp, Belgium) as well as in private collections in Russia and Europe.
