Alexey Starkov is an artist, a cultural researcher, and a museum educator. He was born, grew up, and continues to live in Nizhniy Novgorod.

In his art, Alexey uses a combination techniques of collage, random objects, painting, graphic art, and text and frequently builds his work out of people's personal histories.

The artist works with memories, nostalgic images as well as the formation of false memories.

Alexey is a participant in many shows, including shows for winners of the New Names 2020 competition, the Paranormal Activist which is part of the Support Group special project of the 7-th Moscow Biennial of Young Art.

In additional, Alexey Starkov has presented his own shows and projects. For instance, the Land of Uprooters 2021, Presence Format 2019.
