Elena Sakirko is a Russian artist with a PhD in Culturology.
Sakirko received her degree in Foreign Languages from the Moscow State University and completed a course in contemporary art at MMOMA's Free Workshops School of Contemporary Art (2017–2018).
In her practice, Elena Sakirko explores the theme of memory, the history of people and places. She is deeply interested in personal experiences interacting with space, spontaneous situations and emerging relationships that are manifested through photography, text, video documentation, installations and different avenues of collaboration with other individuals.
