A series of graphic works is dedicated to the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant. Ivan was born and raised in Vyksa, but he visited the plant for the first time as part of his residence. Here he saw production with its unique technologies, which he considered as a "single organism", an ideally built chain of giant machines and people.
“These works are a continuation of the main theme with which I work. In everyday life, I pay great attention to regular phenomena and cyclical processes, trying to find “points of reference” for various processes. Strict forms in works serve as a kind of artistic language, which is formed thanks to the laws of geometry. Interacting with each other, ideal straight figures are combined into compositions with varying degrees of internal tension and attraction, ”says the artist.
