Ivan Gorshkov is a Russian artist and sculptor.
In his oeuvre, Gorshkov examines current cultural codes and considers infinite reworking to be the basis of his creative strategy. He favours various mediums and techniques but has a particular preference for sculpture.
Gorshkov is a prominent representative of the 'Voronezh wave' and the founder of the Voronezh Centre for Contemporary Art; he has participated in shows in Russia and abroad and won the grant of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art's Program in support of emerging artists. Gorshkov's work can be found in Russian and international museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Moscow Museum for Contemporary Art.
