Juraj Florek is a Slovak artist. He received his Master's Degree in Painting at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia), and completed an academic internship at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain).
Juraj Florek has chosen the urban environment, urban landscape, especially its industrial and post-industrial layers as a subject for his paintings.
His artworks have been featured in many solo and group shows in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain and Austria.
In 2014, Florek received the VÚB Foundation Prize for Painting work for young artists.
